The Punisher body by JConcepts for the Associated RC8T is the meanest, nastiest thing out for 1/8th truck racing.  Throw everything you know out the window, the Punisher separates itself from the rest of the bodies on the market with it’s distinctive styling.

Beginning with the newly re-designed grill and headlight treatment, the Punisher stares you down like a trained fighter.  The hood and cab treatment are amongst the lowest in class giving the Punisher top notch performance.   The bed area represents the latest offering for 1/8th truck racing featuring a super low profile design for increased engine cooling, air flow and escape.

The Punisher body is the choice of current and defending ROAR National Champion Ryan Maifield.

Hardcore racers can now breathe a sigh of relief, JConcepts now has Mono wheels for 1/8th truck.   JConcepts original Rulux design first incorporated the large 3.7” diameter in a spoke (Rulux) package and has been a favorite with 1/8th truck racers around the world.   Racers have asked for more options and in particular a dish wheel option.  JConcepts has once again delivered.

For Immediate release –0080 - JConcepts Racing - 1 - 800

Illuzion – BAJR – Traxxas Slash Desert body
Part # – 0080
Retail price – $40.00

(Fits Traxxas Slash)

BAJR – Pronounced Badger

Straight from the Desert, this is a whipping new design from JConcepts.   The BAJR, as it is named, is concept inspired from the ground up to be the ultimate in desert and off-road looks and performance.   The BAJR is a fresh design, starting from the front of the vehicle, the super narrow and tucked front quarter panel treatment creates one of the slickest Illuzionized looks around.   The round Baja-esque profile of the cab area gives that familiar desert a ppearance.  As the design develops toward the rear,
the pronounc
0080 - JC Stars and Stripes - 3 - 800ed roof scoop, and proceeding cut-out and escape area makes this body unmistakably JConcepts.  Pronounced rear fender flare treatment and dovetail rear end finishes off the most concept inspired Short Course body to date.

The BAJR is all about being unique, competition ready and concept inspired.   Get creative with this body; run it as a short course racing vehicle with competition tires or as a desert vehicle with paddle and ribbed tires.  Go ahead, get crazy add a whip antenna; that’s what it’s made for.

Features:

  • Concept inspired JConcepts – BAJR desert styling
  • Low profile inspired body, cab and window design
  • Narrow and tucked front quarter panels
  • Baja profile cab with pronounced scoop and escape area
  • Clear heavy-duty polycarbonate with protective film
  • Window masks and detailed decal sheet

Review – JConcepts Goose Bumps tires and Illuzion Truth body for SC10

Associated SC10 with JConcepts Equipment

Interesting review of the new JConcepts equipment for the SC10 – courtesy of MyRCBox.com.

The best and easiest way to improve your truck handling and look is to swap the stock tires and body for something new. This is exactly what I’ve done with the freshly released JConcepts Goose Bumps tires, Rulux wheels and Illuzion Truth body specially designed for the Team Associated SC10 short course truck.

The rollers:

First, the Rulux wheels are extremely light. The mounting and gluing processes were an easy task. The tires fit perfectly to the black one-piece Rulux wheels (also available in white) . Like with others SC tires on the market, the inner diameter is 3.0” while the outer diameter is 2.2”. The Goose Bumps tires are compatible with the Team Associated SC10, Traxxas Slash and Slayer, HPI Blitz and Losi Strike short course trucks. Read the Full Review HERE

Tri-County Triple Crown Race #3. Crosshairs and Illuzion Bodies – A Hard Combination to Beat

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Event: Tri-County Triple Crown Series, Race #3photo
Date:
August 23rd, 2009
Location:
Stateline Raceway, IN
Race Reporter: Virus Racing

Uncle E takes the win at Allen Hornes– Tri-County Triple Crown Race #3.  JConcepts Crosshairs and Illusion body were the combination to beat.

Stateline Raceway hosted race #3 of the Tri-County triple Crown.  The track proved to be the areas best as evidenced by drivers perma-grins.   With over cast weather and a light breaze the conditions were perfect for racing, the JConcepts yellow crosshairs were a first time choice by Virus Racing’s Uncle E on his Losi 8T 2.0 and this decision turned out to be spot on.

Uncle E qualified 6th for the main, and after a pre-race conversation with 2nd qualifier, young gun Tyler Livingston (12), the two racers had a “good hearted” understanding that the main would be rough– and Uncle E made it clear he would be in the thick of it.  Joking, Tyler made it clear that he’d be there too!   Sure enough the Grand Standing made for an exciting race.

Ryan Maifield wins 1/8th Truck and Buggy at RC X-Fest V

Maifield Buggy - 2Event: R/C X-Fest V
Date:
September 4-7, 2009
Location: Cambridge, MN
Race Reporter: JConcepts Team

Ryan Maifield adds another title by winning the R/C X-Fest with JConcepts Crossbows

For R/C racers Labor Day weekend in Minnesota has become R/C X-Fest weekend.   For the 5th annual event 3 of the fastest drivers in the world converged in Cambridge, Minnesota for a weekend of excitement and no-holds barred entertainment.   With an event known for a multitude of classes and special events, the R/C X-Fest has become something to remember for all participants.   There is always something going on it seems during the X-Fest.  Powder-puff, Big Air Contest, Spud Run, Helicopter night fly, R/C Boat Demo and Mini X Off-road track rental are just a snippet of events available.

Ryan Maifield was in Minnesota to do business as his JConcepts equipped RC8b and RC8T were at the top of the field all weekend.  However, it did not come easy in the 1/8th buggy class.  Ryan encountered a few problems in qualifying which placed him into unchartered territory, the C-main.   Ryan, working together with teammates as the race developed, steadily got faster and ironed out qualifying problems.  Once the C-main was up Ryan was ready and was determined to work his way to the A-main the hard way.  Winning the C and B-main by multiple laps, Ryan was poised and ready for the A-main.  Mounting up a fresh set of JConcepts Crossbows in blue compound proved to be the ticket for the developing conditions for the A-main.

Ryan started near the back of the pack in the A-main but only after 10 minutes he threw down the fastest lap of the main and was fighting for 2nd place.   The 45 minute A-main proved to be too much for most of the competition but with plenty of practice from the C and B main and a healthy dose of the RC8b and JConcepts, Ryan continued to run down the leader.   With 10 minutes to go, Maifield made up critical time on the leader Ryan Lutz and a problem by the leader put Maifield at the front of the pack. Leading out the last 10 minutes and then into victory lane was almost too sweet as Ryan crossed the finish line for yet another win with JConcepts on the 2009 racing tour.

Ryan Maifield’s winning combination included following JConcepts products:

  • Crossbows tires in Super Soft Blue Compound
  • Profiled 1/8th buggy inserts
  • Mono 1/8th buggy racing wheels
  • Illuzion – High Down force wing
  • Illuzion Hi-Flow body
